Brief History

Brief historical background of Piton State College:
The Foundation Stone was laid on Wednesday 29th May 2002 and the inauguration was done Friday 7th November 2003. It started as a Form VI College and now caters for students of Forms I – VI.

The school was given the name Piton Form VI College (Boys) on 29th May 2002 and was renamed Piton State College on 7th November 2003.
The school population is around 863 students, number of teaching staff is 53 and number of non-teaching staff is 17.

The school has a logo which means “Knowledge opens all the doors”.
The Motto of the college is “Scientia Salus Est”.
The Mission statement of Piton State College is "To provide quality education and form responsible citizens".
